- The context to this scene is sort of my favorite thing ever, too. He’s really fucking annoyed (so pttth to everyone who says Mamoru loses any emotion after R) and Usagi is totally oblivious. But he’s annoyed at her because he had to go a whole day without talking to her (if you can imagine), and then after like five seconds on the phone she’s like “OKAY WELL I LOVE YOU BUT I SPENT ALL DAY ON THE PHONE WITH MY GIRLFRIENDS SO I’M KINDA TALKED OUT BYE MAMO-CHAN!” and hangs up and cuddles the phone like a dork and he’s probably on the other end like “… the fuck just happened?” AND THIS IS WHY I LOVE THEM.

Let’s amp up UST between Helga and Mila. I mean, I usually abhor love triangles but in this version, I’m cool for Mila being conflicted between Kida and Helga. She chooses Kida btw.

And I tried to physically base Kida on her voice actress, Cree Summer. Oh, and I tried to give her dreadlocks because when I was a kid, her hair always looked like dreads to me.

OMG! Mila’s relationship with Dr. Sweet would be so adorbs! Big brotherxLittle Sister dynamic! Dr. Sweet bonding with her over both being black and indigenous and queer (yeah, I want this movie to be queerified top to bottom!) And the angst potential at the betrayal part and the making it all up!
I’m so emotionally invested in this that it’s kinda embarrassing…
If there is ever going to be a live action version of Atlantis: The Lost Empire, I demand Jasika Nicole for the role of Milo Thatch.
I think this could help avoid the whole white saviour problem the animated movie had, I mean, what if we added a plot line where Milo/Mila discovers that one of her parents is from Atlantis….?
Also, I adore Jasika and I want a blockbuster movie about women of color lesbians having adventures!
